The Des Moines Intentional Eucharistic Community (DMIEC) is a spiritual community that has been gathering to pray together since 2009. It is a community on a faith journey where all are welcome. Its service is rooted in Catholic tradition, but open to both change and wisdom from other faith traditions. Two of the most significant features of its weekly services are a dialogue homily in which participants have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the readings, and the sharing of bread and wine with all who want to participate.
