COMMUNITIES
In 2013, we began generating guides to local religious communities and facilitating digital stories by members of these communities. Most guides were created by Drake students within the context of “Religions of Des Moines” courses. In cases where courses have not yet been taught about a religious community featured in our photo-narrative on religion in Des Moines (Spectrum of Faith), we provide here the student entry from that book.
RELIGIONS OF DES MOINES (booklet)
Religions of Des Moines is an informational booklet aimed at connecting students at Drake University with religious communities in the region. Our hope is not only to allow students to learn about religious communities in which they feel at home, but also encourage them to step outside their comfort zone.
The booklet is organized by general groupings of religion alphabetically, which will allow students to quickly learn information relevant to them while also allowing them to browse a wider range of communities.
