This church is located in Des Moines about 5 minutes from Drake University, the address being 3700 Cottage Grove Ave. They have an active website as well as an active phone number along with an email. The phone number is 515-255-2131 and their email can be accessed through their website. Their website provides basic information about their church and the culture, I’ll put that below. 

We love our funky old building, but don’t let its age fool you. We are truly a church for today.

They also make it very clear through their website that they support LGBTQ and are members of the Reconciling Ministries Network and give a little background information on the organization. “Reconciling Ministries Network is a national grassroots organization that exists to enable full participation of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in the life of the United Methodist Church, both in policy and practice.”

The hours for this church are provided through the website as well, Sunday school is at 9:00 am and classes are for all ages from preschool to three different adult classes. Their traditional Sunday service is at 10:15 am in their Sanctuary, with their hospitality time being at 11:15 am in their Fellowship Hall. They have two parking lots, and you can enter the church through doors on every side of the church. They also provide the Grace Church Bus, if you call and request a ride within their radius they will pick you up.

They make music with “Grace” and when asked what kind of music they love at their church, they responded with “All kinds!  From the traditional hymns of our red United Methodist Hymnal to the more contemporary music of the little black hymnal The Faith We Sing or the green hymnal Worship and Song.” “Love music?
