Digital Stories from the Iowa Sikh Association

Five Sikh youths, from both the Iowa Sikh Association and the Sikhs of Iowa Khalsa Heritage, participated in our digital storytelling workshop in August 2013. Their digital stories exemplify several Sikh principles and practices—langar, kesh, the turban-tying ceremony, and the baby-naming ceremony. But most of all they speak to the Sikh struggle for understanding and respect.
